THE CLUB
The Pacesetters Athletic Club, Malaysia (PACM) is a running club formed
in 1984 to promote running as a healthy lifestyle. With a membership base
exceeding 1,600 runners as at December 2007, it is the largest running
club in Malaysia. The Club conducts track training and training runs regularly
and organizes successful 10km, 15km, 20km and 30km running events yearly.
Within the club, the members belong to Area Groups which are mostly in
Kuala Lumpur and Klang Valley. There are also Area Groups in other major
towns, the largest of which is the Kuantan Area Group.

Mizuno Wave Run: For the said run the Club will be using the timing chip system that was recently purchased. As such, please note that there will be a RM10 refundable deposit required upon collecting the race kit. A reminder to all, please sign up early for the run to avoid disappointment.

IN THE NEWS
The club play a very active role in promoting the sport of running in
the country. So is it any surprise we often end up being featured in the
newspapers? Read some recent articles here.
Communicating with members throughout the country - runners in Malaysia - means getting the information across more speedily and efficiently.
This site aims to be functional rather than flashy and serves to complement the other channels of communication such as the Footloose magazine, the eBulletin and of course the word of mouth. Some thoughts that went into this re-design include the consideration for faster loading times (not everyone has broadband connection!) and layout that's easy to navigate. Plus, the content (eg. copywriting) are more web-centric as opposed to the print media.
The highlights of this site are:
- resource section where there are links to forms, articles
and links (do you know that some Pacesetters have their personal websites?)
- Contact numbers and emails of the Exco and Area Group Leaders.
So if you're the shy type and find picking up the phone a problem, you
can now drop us an email!
